12 artists

The first (no name) Art Group project was implemented in July 2000 and began with 12 artists. Each artist was randomly given one of the 12 signs of the zodiac to interpret as they chose. The first proposal went like this:

"Remember those projects in school where you could experiment, have fun, and just make some damn good art? Well there’s no reason to stop! We’ve decided to implement collaborative projects for local artists who are willing to use and share their creativity with other artists. Inspiring each other through their own unique interpretation on a particular subject.."
